Top baby names for Donegal in 2025 revealed by Central Statistics Office

Noah and Grace revealed as Donegal's most popular names in 2025

Noah and Grace were the most popular names in Donegal in 2025 after naming statistics were released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Whilst Noah remained Donegal’s most popular male name to give to newborns for the second year in succession, Grace replaced Fiadh as Donegal’s most popular female name.

Nationally, Rían was the most popular male name, replacing the name Jack after eight years at the top of the standings, whilst Lily replaced Sophie as the nation’s most popular female name.

Other names to have taken Donegal’s top spot in the last decade include Charlie, Jack, Annie, and Emily.
