'Huge disappointment' in Killybegs as World Powerboat race is cancelled

One of the biggest powerboat races in the world, due in Killybegs next month, has been cancelled.

The Venture Offshore Cup would have brought 25 of the top international powerboat teams, their support crews, and thousands of visitors to south Donegal.

Cllr. Niamh Kennedy says it's “a huge disappointment to lose out on the race, which would have been a massive tourism and business boost for Killybegs.”
