Media spotlight on Donegal for visit of Prince Charles

Media from across the country will descend on Donegal as the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visit the county.

Crews from UTV, RTÉ, members of Reuters, the Press Association, radio reporters and local press will all cover the event. There is global interest in the historic visit.

The Prince and Duchess will begin their tour of the county at Donegal Castle before going to see the obelisk in Donegal Town.

Following their donegal town visit the royal couple will visit Letterkenny Institute of Technology while the Duchess will pay a visit to Ballyraine National School.

Later in the evening the royals will visit the castle and grounds of Glenveagh Castle.

Meanwhile, security has been stepped up in the county with gardaí being deployed from across the country for the event.
