Wealth of talent on display at LYIT exhibition

The 2016 Letterkenny Institute of Technology design and creative media held their annual show and exhibition launch on Thursday.

The event is the culmination of the efforts of students in a number of disciplines including animation, graphic design/ visual communication, photography, digital media design and product design.

The show took place in the Regional Culture Centre and runs until today (June 9).

There was a wealth of talent on display and a very large crowd attended the opening night event. Nollaig Crombie, Head of Department of Design & Creative Media, addressed the students, LYIT staff and the guest and congratulated everyone on their innovative work. She also dedicated the event to the late Johnny Boyle, a popular lecture in the department who passed away recently.

The theme of this years event was “Fresh*” and up to prospective graduate 70 students hosted a variety of unique creations as part of their studies.
