Sad passing of Leo Brennan

There was widespread sadness across Donegal and beyond at news yesterday of the death of Leo Brennan.

The owner of Leo's Tavern died peacefully after long illness, surrounded by his wife Máire (Baba) and family Moya, Ciarán, Pól, Deirdre, Leon, Enya, Olive, Bartley and Brídín at his home in Upper Dore, Gweedore. He was 90 years of age.

Leo Brennan was a gifted musician and entertainer who passed his talents on to his family and made Leo's one of the country's best music venues.

He will be laid to rest on Friday after funeral mass at noon in St Mary’s Chapel, in Derrybeg.
