Gardaí issue appeal over death of teenager who collapsed in nightclub

Gardaí in Letterkenny are appealing for information about the death of 17-year-old Tori Johnston a year ago.

The fifth year student at Loreto College collapsed at Voodoo nightclub in Letterkenny in the early hours of July 15th.

She was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital where she died at 6.30am.

Gardaí say investigations to date have not determined the cause of Tori’s death.

In an appeal issued on Thursday, gardaí have thanked those who came forward and assisted during the course of the investigation, but they say they believe other people who attended Voodoo nightclub on the morning of Tori’s death have yet to come forward to assist with the investigation.

Anybody who has information which may assist and explain why Tori died is asked to come forward by contacting the incident room at Letterkenny garda station on 074 9167100.

If they wish to remain anonymous they can call the Garda Confidential Telephone line on 1800 666 111.

Gardaí say any assistance will be greatly appreciated and callers will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
