A ‘5k Fun Run/ Jog/ Walk event is being hosted by Aurivo Consumer Foods Killygordon on Tuesday, 23rd August.

Participants have the option to run, jog or walk the 5K course. The 5K run commences at 7.30pm from Crossroads, Killygordon, Donegal and is registered with the Athletics Association of Ireland. Registration is on the day. There is an entry fee of €7 which includes free entry to a draw. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line.

The event is being organised by Aurivo Co-operative Society as part of its Charity of the Year programme. Aurivo is supporting the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) which is Ireland’s national child protection charity.

The 5k Fun Run is just one of a number of Charity of the Year fundraisers being hosted by Aurivo. Last year Aurivo presented €40,000 to Pieta House for the prevention of suicide and self-harm. Other worthy causes Aurivo donated to include local Hospices, Special Olympics, Crumlin Children’s Hospital, Autism Ireland and many more, with employees from across their diverse business units raising funds by organising a number of successful events including a Bike and Hike, 5k run, mini marathon, recipe calendar, coffee mornings and Tubbercurry golf tournament.
