The All Ireland Rowing and Maritime Festivals came to a sparkling end yesterday evening with a great fireworks display at the Quayside in Donegal Town. More than 1,000 people attended the display and later enjoyed the traditional Donegal hospitality.
It was remarked by many of the local community over the weekend that they had never encountered such a group of well behaved, good humoured and polite young people from every corner of the country.
“The were all a credit to their clubs and their own areas- their parents can indeed be proud of them.”
