A Donegal town based firm of architects has secured the commission from Donegal County Council as the lead architects for the new public convenience building at Rathmullan Pier (pictured).
Located on the famous pier, this project will provide much needed public facilities such as toilets, changing rooms, information kiosks and storage facilities in the busy seaside village on the Fanad Peninsula.
Declan McCabe told the Democrat/People's Press, “We are quite excited about this and hope to make this a landmark and iconic building.
“It is a growing tourist area with a great maritime history and is also synonymous with the “Flight of the Earls”.
“I feel that these elements are themes that we can incorporate into the project and make it a very interesting building.”
