Fresh from the TV success of Daniel and Majella’s B&B Roadtrip and the recent announcement that they are heading Stateside to make an American version of the show, Daniel O’Donnell has announced four Irish dates in December.
He'll appear on Friday, December 14th at the INEC Killarney; Saturday 15th TF Theatre, Castlebar; Tuesday 18th Waterfront, Belfast and 19th Millennium Forum, Derry.
For the first time ever Irish fans will be treated to his Christmas and More show, which will see the star entertaining his audience with a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he performs hit after hit in the first part of the show.
As the curtain rises on the second half the audience is transported to a Christmas wonderland with Daniel getting into festive mode singing the all-time great Christmas classics and favourites, as he is joined by special guest Mary Duff (Daniel’s long-term singing partner).
Last week it was confirmed that Daniel will perform for the Pope in Croke Park, when he visits Ireland next month.
"My faith is very important to me, I am very honoured to be invited to this very special event," he said.
July 30th will see Daniel receive a very special award from IMRO in the The Daniel O Donnell Visitor Centre in Dungloe in recognition for his outstanding contribution to country music in Ireland.
In September Daniel will be heading to Minot in North Dakota USA, where he has been nominated to the Scandinavian-America Hall of Fame for the Humanitarian Award. Recent notable inductees into the Hall of Fame include Kris Kristofferson and Josh Duhamel.
Daniel has been chosen to receive the Humanitarian Award as a beloved Høstfest performer and as a tribute to his work with charitable causes most notably the Romanian Challenge Appeal which by 2015 had raised over €700,000.
In October Daniel will tour the UK, then he heads to the USA from November 1st for a month, where he will perform his very special ‘Christmas with Daniel Production Show’ . The singer will play twenty shows in total at the Welk Theatre in Branson MS.
Daniel will then return to Ireland for the Christmas and More tour. Tickets for the four Irish dates go on sale on August 11th from Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.
