News that 17 post offices are set to close throughout the county has ignited one local politician to set up a public meeting to discuss the issue.
Independent councillor and community activist, Micheal Cholm MacGiolla Bhríde has organised a meeting which will take place in Ionad Naomh Pádraig on Wednesday, September 5.
The councillor aims to discuss the most effective way members of the community can fight against the closure of post offices in the area.
Speakers for the occasion are yet to be confirmed and everyone is welcome to attend.
