Killybegs Coast Guard responds to two incidents off Donegal coast

A body has been taken from Killybegs harbour after a recovery operation.

A report was made at 1pm to Malin Head Coast Guard by the Killybegs harbour office of a missing person.

The man, understood to be a crew member of a fishing boat, had been seen on CCTV footage walking on the pier towards a boat at 1am.

Killybegs Coast Guard was alerted and the body was recovered around 2pm.

A post mortem is due to be carried out.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
