Cllr Niamh Kennedy: South Donegal must strengthen weaknesses
Independent councillor Niamh Kennedy says her main objective in the upcoming local elections is to listen to and represent the electorate from Bundoran to Glencolmcille.
Addressing her campaign launch before around 70 people at the Bayview Hotel in Killybegs, she said: "I am an independent candidate and am bound by no party whip - I listen to the views of the people and not to party leaders like the mainstream party candidates.
"I have proved that I can probably achieve more with this freedom and have worked well with my fellow councillors at the table in Lifford."
Continuing she said: "We have great advantages in this area but we indeed also have problems. It is important that we identify these maximising our potential but also strengthening our weaknesses.
"Future generations can benefit by the decisions we make today."
