Donegal dancer  takes the world championship in North Carolina

A 14-year-old dancer has won the world championship in North Carolina on Tuesday night.

Talented Emily Colangelo from Dungloe who dances for the McNelis Cunningham School of Dance took the accolade among thundering applause last night in America.

Emily has been dancing since she was three years of age. 

Her parents Christina and Ben are over the moon with the result. 

The people of Dungloe, Arranmore Island and the surrounding areas are delighted with the fantastic result from North Carolina.
