Dylan Browne McMonagle has taken the lead in the Irish Flat Jockeys' Championship after bagging a treble at the weekend.

The Letterkenny man has overtaken the winner of the last five years, Colin Keane.

Keane is currently on 50 wins, but is currently serving a two-week ban for exceeding the whip strike limit at Sandown earlier this month.

Browne McMonagle's hat-trick of wins at Gowran Park on Saturday, along with a brace at Cork and Leopardstown last week, has now pushed him on to 52 wins and top of the standings.
