The Coastal Location Codes pilot project was launched at Narin Beach.
Inspired and driven by Councillor Brian Carr’s own personal experience, he officially launched the project alongside Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Sinn Féin Councillor Gary Doherty. Members of emergency services, local representatives and the community turned out in large numbers to support the beach safety initiative.
Tramore Beach, Bundoran Beach, Stroove Beach, Downings Beach and Killahoey Beach have also been assigned identification codes and are included in the project.
