Gardai are investigating the spree of thefts at Inishowen beaches

Several items have been stolen after cars were broken into on Inishowen beaches over the weekend. 

Gardai are investigating the spree of thefts and the substantial damage to the vehicles on Saturday evening, July 12th. The incidents happened in the early evening at Dunree and Lisfannon beaches. 

The passenger window of a car at Dunree beach was smashed, and a handbag was taken along with a wallet that contained cash, a bank card, and other items. Gardai are also investigating the theft of several items from a car at Lisfannon beach.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that they “received reports involving the theft from both vehicles and investigations are ongoing.”

The incidents occurred on the warmest and one of the busiest days of the year in Inishowen. Gardai are asking anyone with any information to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074-9320540.
