Plans sought for new Caravan Park in Culdaff
Permission is being sought to construct a new motorhome and caravan park in Culdaff.
The proposed development, by Bruach Abhann Cuil Dabhcha Teoranta, will include four motorhome berths, each with charging points, and 18 caravan berths, featuring a timber patio, green space, and a driveway per berth.
The applicant, Johnnie McGuiness, is seeking to construct the campsite in Culdaff opposite the Clara Meadows estate. The applicant is also seeking permission for a communal treatment plant with a polishing filter and all ancillary works.
According to the cover letter contained in the application, the caravan park will facilitate both ‘the mica applicant and the tourist’, depending on their needs.
It was also outlined in the application that a footpath is being proposed by the Culdaff Community in partnership with Donegal County Council to facilitate the location within the village of Culdaff.
“It is also planned to develop a watersport amenity along the local stream as a tourist attraction to cater for the residents of this proposed caravan park”, the applicant added.
