The Boil Water Notice for the Culdaff Public Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect.
Uisce Éireann can confirm that, following consultation with the Health Service Executive, customers on this supply can now resume normal use of their water supply. Customers supplied by the Three Glens Group Water Scheme can also resume normal use of their supply.
The Boil Water Notice was issued on 18 August to protect the health of customers due to a decline in the raw water quality entering the Culdaff Water Treatment Plant.
Uisce Éireann’s drinking water experts worked hard to lift the notice as quickly as possible.
“We understand the inconvenience of a Boil Water Notice, but public health is our number one priority,” Damien O’Sullivan said. “We appreciate the support of the local community over the past number of weeks, and we also thank the local media and political representatives who helped us share information during the period of this notice.”
