They posted: “Two beautifully crafted stone signposts have been installed at the entrances to Clonmany - one at the top of Gaddyduff and the other on the Cleagh Road - marking a significant enhancement to the village streetscape and the warm welcome visitors receive on arrival.”

The Tidy Towns group, who has worked tirelessly on numerous projects over the years, describe this latest addition as one of their finest achievements to date. Designed to reflect the area’s rich geology and heritage, the new signs are made from local stone, connecting the installations directly to Clonmany’s natural landscape and history.

“The project was very much a local collaboration,” they added. “North West Memorials carried out the carving and detailed preparation of the stone, while the bases were expertly built by Seamus Doherty, ensuring the installations will stand proudly for many years to come.”

The committee expressed their sincere gratitude to both North West Memorials and Seamus Doherty for the tremendous time, effort, and skill they dedicated to making the project a success. Thanks were also extended to the Clonmany Community Employment Scheme, whose members helped tidy and prepare the site in advance of the installation.
