Mechanical issue causing water disruptions in Buncrana
Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in Buncrana today following a mechanical issue at the Slavery Water Treatment Plant.
Customers in Buncrana and the surrounding areas are expected to experience low water pressure or temporary outages as crews work to resolve the problem.
Water service teams have been deployed since early this morning and are on-site working to restore normal operation at the water treatment plant.
Damien O’Sullivan of Uisce Éireann acknowledged the impact the disruption is having on the community. “We understand the inconvenience this is causing, and our teams are working to restore the water supply as quickly as possible. It is anticipated that the water supply will be returned later today. Once normal operations are restored, it will take several hours for the network to refill and normal supply to return to all customers.”
