The Barrack Hill Town Park Committee is delighted to announce the return of its ‘Carols in the Park’, kicking off another Christmas season in style in Carndonagh.

The festive event will take place under the park’s beautiful covered outdoor space, The Daisy, on Sunday, November 30, from 3-4.30pm, with everyone welcome to join in.

The annual celebration continues to focus on community connection, creativity, and positive mental wellbeing through music and shared experience in nature.

“Our goal is to continue building an inclusive and welcoming festive gathering where all ages, cultures, and backgrounds can come together through community, music and nature,” explains Carmel Doherty, Chairperson of the Barrack Hill Steering Committee.

“We are incredibly proud to maintain our Green Flag status and to see The Daisy develop further as a vibrant and creative community venue”.

“Community events like this are so important for social connection and seasonal celebration,” she added.

The committee is thrilled to welcome performances from the Carndonagh Brass Band, Siobhán Shiels Music School, and singers from the local secondary school.

“We encourage everyone to join in the singing and festive spirit. And, yes, Mrs Claus has confirmed she will be returning for another magical storytelling session too!” smiled Carmel.

The Christmas event is free, open to all, and no registration is required; simply arrive on the day and enjoy a relaxed, joyful evening of festive community celebration.

Seasonal treats, including cookies, hot chocolate and alcohol-free mulled wine, will be available for purchase.
