Buncrana is a hive of activity at Christmas time
The Christmas spirit was certainly evident in Buncrana when an unnamed local businesswoman donated 25 free passes for the Christmas market.
The woman reached out to local councillor, Jack Murray, to pass on the passes. He said: "This morning I was contacted by a very kind local businesswoman who visited our Christmas Markets and loved them.
"She expressed her disappointment at the negativity from a very small minority of people, and then offered to donate 25 passes for families who may need them.

"I've arranged for these to be distributed and I hope it'll bring a bit of joy to those kids. This lady asked that her name and her business be kept anonymous, but I sincerely hope that Santa is good to her this year! That is a true reflection of this community and the goodness of the people who live here! Happy Christmas everyone!".
Cllr Murray, having distributed the passes as requested, posted a later update to confirm that Santa would be in for a busy afternoon.
"And the passes have now been matched with tickets to the train and to see Santa," he said. "That's a good Friday."
