Buncrana Cinema to shine bright with sparkling Christmas Variety on December 16

‘A Holly Jolly Christmas’ will take place at Buncrana Cinema on Tuesday, 16th December, with all welcome.

As part of the ‘Buncrana By Night’ initiative from Donegal County Council, ‘A Holly Jolly Christmas’ will come to Buncrana Cinema for one night only on Tuesday, 16th December.

The variety show will be filled with music, laughter, and Christmas magic, and include highlight performances from some of the best talent in Buncrana, Inishowen and the North-West.

There will be performances by the Inishowen Gospel Choir, new local pop-soul group PikaTunes, the Inish Theatre Group, and talented students from Scoil Trad Bhuncranncha.

The show will be hosted by comedian Joseph P Carlin, bringing plenty of fun and festive cheer. Sophie Gallagher, Buncrana’s Night-Time Economy Advisor, said: “The Buncrana Night-Time Economy Initiative has allowed Buncrana Cinema to thrive as a diverse cultural venue, and this is a festive celebration of the historic cinema and local talent”

Chief Executive of Donegal County Council John G McLaughlin added: “Buncrana’s night-time economy development showcases what can be achieved when local businesses, organisations, and the community unite to strengthen the town’s vibrant culture after dark. This event celebrates an iconic venue and the continued growth of Buncrana’s night-time economy.”

The show is open to all ages, and will be the perfect pre-Christmas evening for all.

Tickets can be purchased via Tickets.ie or in person from Mac's Bookshop. Buncrana By Night is funded by the Department for Culture, Sport and Media and is a Donegal County Council Night-Time Economy Initiative.
