The stricken lorry is hoisted out of the field via a crane.
A lorry that crashed and overturned into a field near Redcastle has been safely recovered.

The huge truck went off the road at Carrickmaquigley, on the Moville side of Redcastle village, yesterday morning, Monday, January 12.
Donegal County Council announced an emergency road closure from Moville to Quigley’s Point from 6pm-9pm last night to facilitate the removal of the stricken heavy goods vehicle – and it was successfully removed by a specialist recovery firm using a crane.
It is not known what caused the lorry – which contained a load of seafood – to go off the road. Conditions were dark and damp at the time of the incident, which happened around 7.30am on Monday morning.

Emergency services, including the Gardai, Fire Brigades from Moville and Carn, and an ambulance, attended the scene, but mercifully there were no serious injuries.
