Carn’s Spraoi agus Spórt is welcoming Transition Year students to take part in a week of hands-on work experience next month.
From February 9-13, four TY students will have the chance to get behind the scenes of the award-winning and ambitious social enterprise – discovering how community spirit, creativity, and connection come together to make a difference.
Spraoi agus Spórt supports families and individuals across the Inishowen community, creating opportunities for people to thrive and have positive experiences. The team delivers a wide range of services, including after-school care, disability inclusion programme, parent and toddler group, WorkAbility initiative, garden centre, the Digital Creative Lab, and adult learning classes.

Through this work experience opportunity, students will gain real insight into how social enterprise operates and the many ways Spraoi contributes to community wellbeing. It’s a chance to explore new skills, work alongside a supportive team, and see how a social enterprise can make positive change.
Students interested in applying can complete a short application form explaining why they’d like to get involved and what areas of our work they’d most like to learn about. Spraoi encourages TYs who want to make a difference, explore new possibilities, and experience meaningful work to apply before Monday, January 26 next.
The students with the strongest applications will be notified by Friday, January 30. Application forms: https://forms.office.com/e/XHePbncZAf
