The Inishowen Development Partnership (IDP) has announced a special community event dedicated to the spirit of service and local engagement.

On Tuesday, January 27, at 10am, at the Buncrana office - 12 Upper Main Street, F93EE39 - the organisation will host Inishowen Volunteering, an open invitation for residents to explore how they can make a tangible difference in their local area.

The event is designed as an informal "chat on all things volunteering," providing a welcoming space for individuals to learn about the various roles currently available within the community. Organisers emphasise that all skills are welcome, whether participants are looking to lend a professional expertise or simply offer a few hours of their time to help neighbours and local projects.

Eamonn Bonner of the Donegal Volunteer Centre will be a key contact for the initiative, highlighting the collaboration between regional support services and local development goals. The partnership aims to match the unique talents of Inishowen residents with the specific needs of community groups, ensuring that every volunteer finds a role that is both rewarding and impactful.

Those interested in attending or seeking more information are encouraged to contact Eamonn Bonner directly at 087-1039730 or via email at info@volunteerdonegal.ie. General inquiries can also be directed to the Donegal Volunteer Centre at 074 9126740 or by visiting their official website.
