A community fundraising dance held at St Mary’s Hall, Muff recently has raised €1,270 for Vision Ireland, supporting its work with people who are blind or vision impaired across Inishowen, Donegal and nationwide.
The charity event, organised by Bridie McNally, of Three Trees, Quigley’s Point, took place on December 12 and drew strong local support.
Proceeds from the well-attended dance were presented this week to the charity to assist in the delivery of vital services and supports for those living with sight loss.
Bridie presented a cheque for €1,270 to a delighted Danny Cahill, National Services Manager with Vision Ireland.
The organisation provides a range of practical and emotional supports, advocacy services and community-based programmes aimed at empowering people who are blind or vision impaired to live independently.
