There has been a loud noise in Buncrana which has been keeping people awake at night. The noise has been persisting throughout the day and night.

Councillor Jack Murray has received multiple messages from Buncrana residents who have been unable to sleep the last three nights due to a loud banging throughout the night.

He has been liaising with Donegal County Council on how best to figure out where the noise is coming from. The council suspects that it is a crow banger however, this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Donegal County Council put out a release online asking farmers not to use these crow bangers in residential areas between sunset and sunrise and use bales or barriers to screen  from houses.

The noises could scare dogs which might lead to them barking at night which is then waking up neighbours.
