The Exchange's Community Christmas Dinner in Buncrana
The Exchange Inishowen said they had “an amazing day” as they continued to bring Christmas cheer to the peninsula.
They welcomed 60 people for the in-person Christmas Dinner and live entertainment on Christmas Day in Buncrana, as well as delivering 15 more to housebound people. They posted: “Thanks to our wonderful volunteers and the generosity of our lovely community.”
That came after 60 deliveries on Christmas Eve of Christmas dinners and treats throughout the whole of Inishowen, with the day beforehand spent preparing meals and arranging deliveries.
“What an amazing day we had at the Inishowen Community Christmas dinner,” they added. “Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this possible.”
The Exchange is a voluntary-run, non-profit Community Centre, which is a registered Irish charity. Before Christmas, they encouraged people to apply for the Community Christmas Dinner: “If you are on your own, away from home or finding things difficult for any reason this Christmas, join us for a wonderful community meal.”
