Crana College student Caitlin Quinn Murphy was recently presented with her Pope John Paul II award by Bishop of Derry Donal McKeown.

Caitlin volunteers regularly in the local St Vincent de Paul Shop, and has for the past three years collected stamps, rosary beads and other religious items in her local churches at Cockhill and St Mary's Oratory to support the missions.

Caitlin was one of more than 700 students from across the Derry diocese to receive the JPII awards in a ceremony at the end of January, and she's pictured alongside her teacher Rosaleen O'Donnell in one of the accompanying photographs and with Bishop Donal and Buncrana parish priest Francis Bradley in the other.
