Attendees took part in a day of workshops and political discussion focused on engaging communities across Donegal in the conversation around unity.
Donegal Sinn Féin held a well-attended United Ireland Planning Day on Saturday at the Vestry in Letterkenny, bringing together party members and elected representatives to discuss and advance the campaign for Irish unity.
The event was part of Sinn Féin’s continued grassroots engagement and strategic planning efforts aimed at preparing for constitutional change and the building of a new and united Ireland. Attendees took part in a day of workshops and political discussion focused on engaging communities across Donegal in the conversation around unity.
Guest speakers included Mayo TD, party Spokesperson on Enterprise, Tourism and Employment and member of the Oireachtas Committee on the Good Friday Agreement, Rose Conway-Walsh and the Westminster Election Candidate for Foyle and member of the North West Cross-Border Working Group, Cllr Sandra Duffy.
They outlined the political, social, and economic opportunities that Irish unity presents on both sides of the Border. Feedback from the day will shape how Donegal Sinn Féin works towards Irish Unity in the future.

Sinn Féin continue to lead the call for the Irish Government to establish a Citizens’ Assembly on Unity and to begin detailed planning for constitutional change. Saturday's event in Letterkenny was a further step in ensuring that communities in the North West are fully included and informed in that national conversation.
Donegal Sinn Féin reiterated its commitment to a new and inclusive Ireland, built on equality, social justice, and opportunity for all.
