The Progress Flag will be flown at the Letterkenny Public Services Centre from August 14-17 to mark Letterkenny Pride
Donegal County Council will show its support for Letterkenny Pride by flying the Progress Flag at the Letterkenny Public Services Centre.
Cllr Declan Meehan asked councillors at the meeting of Letterkenny-Milford MD today if the flag could be displayed from August 14-17 to coincide with Letterkenny Pride.
“Letterkenny Pride has been a welcome addition to the town,” said Independent Cllr Meehan. “There has been an explosion of local and regional prides across the county, in Letterkenny, Falcarragh and Bundoran. They provide a focal point for marginalised communities.
“It’s important to show solidarity and show young people that it’s ok to be who they are.”
