Eleven new disability swim teachers are qualified across Donegal

Eleven new swim teachers completed their STA Award in Disability Swim Teaching. 

Course Tutor Esther Jean Cullen from Donegal Lifeguard & Leisure Training guided the 11 swim teachers through the STA's detailed qualification over weeks of study and practical assessments. 

“The swim teacher's dedication, extensive study, research presentations, exams, and practical experience working with each other as a team and then with children and adults with diverse special needs truly paid off as they all passed with flying colours,” Donegal Lifeguards and Leisure Training said. “The positive feedback from parents and families has been so heartwarming. 

“Everyone is excited to continue swim lessons. These lessons not only promote safety but also bring significant benefits to our adult and child participants alike. A huge thank you to our team for their commitment and compassion in making a difference through inclusive swimming!
