Sadness at passing of former Letterkenny Golf Club Lady Captain, Eileen Williamson

Letterkenny Golf Club has paid tribute to their “esteemed member” and former Lady Captain, Eileen Williamson, on her sad passing.

Eileen was the beloved mother of Roderick Keating (Edinburgh), Trevor Keating and wife Heather (Kiltoy), and the late Jonathan (Johnny) Keating, Fernhill, Letterkenny. She was a former staff nurse at the Emergency Department of Letterkenny University Hospital.

“Eileen was a long-standing member who greatly enjoyed her golf and embraced the spirit of competition that came with it,” shared Letterkenny Golf Club. “She will be fondly remembered within our club community.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this difficult time. As a mark of respect, the club flag has been lowered to half-mast. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.”

Reposing at the family home, 4, Tara Court, Letterkenny from 2pm until 7pm today. Funeral from there on Wednesday, September 17, going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine, Letterkenny (F92 PN81) for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed online followed by interment in Conwal Cemetery.

Family time on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only, donations, if wished, to the Oncology Dept., Letterkenny University Hospital c/o Paschal Blake, Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Rd., Letterkenny.
