The organiser of the Annual Christmas Day Dinner in Letterkenny has said this year’s event was an “amazing success”.
Kathy O’Connor, the founder of the Annual Christmas Day Dinner held in Conwal Parish Hall, thanked volunteers for their help. The annual event helps to combat loneliness by providing meals to those spending Christmas Day on their own.
Dinners are served on-site in Conwal Parish Hall and delivered throughout the county. The delivery service is also available on New Year’s Day.
This Christmas, 66 meals on a plate were delivered by 44 volunteers throughout Donegal.

“Thank you so much for answering the call to provide for the elderly living on their own,” said Kathy. “We provided 150 dinners from the Conwal Parish hall with 54 volunteers showing up on the day. Thank you and I can safely say that the volunteers are the backbone of this event. It is a great pleasure to work with each and everyone.”
