The association is appealing to the wider community for support, saying official recognition would help safeguard Rosemount’s unique built environment for future generations
Residents in the Rosemount area of Letterkenny have launched a campaign to have the neighbourhood formally recognised as an Architectural Area of Conservation.
The Rosemount Residents Association says the move is aimed at protecting and preserving the distinctive architectural heritage and character of the area, which forms part of Letterkenny town centre.
The association is appealing to the wider community for support, saying official recognition would help safeguard Rosemount’s unique built environment for future generations. Members believe the area’s architectural significance deserves protection amid ongoing development pressures in the town.
As part of the campaign, the Rosemount Residents Association is encouraging people to follow its updates on Facebook and to help raise awareness of the initiative. Anyone interested in supporting the campaign or seeking further information can contact the group by email at rosemountassociation@gmail.com
