The late Kieran McGrath, inset, and Leckview Park, which will host a game in his memory
Letterkenny Rovers and Oldtown FC are teaming up for a charity match, which will be played in memory of Kieran McGrath.
The two neighbouring sides will face one another on Saturday, August 5 at 1pm, at Leckview Park with all monies raised to be divided between Pieta and Sheephaven Search & Recovery.
Kieran, who was PRO of Letterkenny Rovers and was also involved in the administration of the Donegal Youth League and the Ulster Senior League, sadly passed away earlier this year.
“On March 1, our club along with the soccer community in Donegal were shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of our clubman Kieran Mc Grath,” read a post from Letterkenny Rovers. “Our first team will take on Oldtown Celtic FC in a Keiran McGrath Memorial match at Leckview Park. Gate admission is €5.00 with all proceeds being divided between Pieta House and Sheephaven Search & Recovery.”
