Donegal and Termon's Nicole McLaughlin ties the knot with Paul McDaid

Paul McDaid and Nicole McLaughlin celebrated their wedding at St Colmcille’s Church

Termon and Donegal’s Nicole McLaughlin and Paul McDaid celebrated their wedding in style.

They exchanged their vows on Saturday at St Colmcille’s Church, Glendowan, with Fr Michael McKeever conducting the official duties. The happy couple, their family and friends dancing the night away afterwards at the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny.

Geraldine, Nicole’s sister, was the maid of honour, ably assisted by bridesmaids Emer Gallagher, Roisin McCafferty and Daire Kelly, all of whom were part of Termon’s panel who won the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Club Championship.

Paul’s best man was his brother Kevin, with Paul Mallon, Steve and Nathan McElwaine as groomsmen.

Nicole has won five Ulster senior crowns with Donegal, a record shared with teammates Karen Guthtrie, Niamh Hegarty, Emer Gallagher and Katy Herron. She is part of the Termon team who reclaimed the Donegal LGFA title this year, while Paul, from Kilmacrennan, lines out for the men’s team at the Burn Road.

Kilmacrennan’s Paul Doherty took their wedding photographs at Nicole and Paul’s new home at Ray, Kilmacrennan.

Nicole is a religion and business teacher at Loreto Secondary School in Letterkenny and Paul works for the family business, Letterkenny Skip Hire. The couple spent a few days break in Belfast after the wedding and will honeymoon in Dubai later this month.
