Prior to his 23 years in charge at Manchester United, where he won 13 Premier League titles and two Champion's Leagues, Ferguson managed Aberdeen. Between 1978 and 1986, he guided the Dons to the 1983 European Cup Winners' Cup having defeated Real Madrid in the final, as well as three Scottish Premier Division titles, four Scottish Cups, the League Cup and European Super Cup.
Two goals inside three first-half minutes from Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi had Celtic 2-0 up at the break but Aberdeen forced a draw with second-half goals from Ester Sokler and Graeme Shinnie had Aberdeen. The draw brought an end to both sides' 100 percent records this season, having won seven from seven each.
