The awards presentation evening which will feature Manus O'Donnell will take place in Mullingar at the end of the month

Donegal Community Games Chairman Manus O’Donnell from Milford has won the National Volunteer Award for Community Games.

Local farmer O’Donnell joined Milford Community Games when his children started taking part in 2008 and continued onto 2013 when he became Chairman of the County Community Games Community, where he remains as County Chairman 11 years later.

“I'm over the moon - I never expected to get this award he also said he wanted to thank all the Committee for their help over the years,” he said.

The County Committee said they are delighted for Manus: “He is always there to help everyone and nothing is ever a problem and when you see Manus still giving so much of his time to Community Games.

“After all these years, we're very Lucky to have Manus on board and we are very proud of him. Finally, Treasurer Cathal Hagan wants to congratulate Manus on his National Award from all the committees at Donegal Community Games. The awards presentation evening will take place in Mullingar at the end of the month.”
