Kieran Kelly's entry takes Donegal to the Greatest Accent in Ireland crown

The Letterkenny schoolteacher represented the county on Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on Today FM and with a Trainspotting-themed entry managed to win the vote

Kieran Kelly from Letterkenny took the mantle for the county as Donegal was voted as the Greatest Accent in Ireland.

On the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on Today FM, voting took place over the past fortnight and when they were totted, it was Donegal's who came out on top, beating off competition from Monaghan, Kerry and Galway.

School teacher Kelly created this Trainspotting-inspired entry:

"I'm over the moon," Kelly told Dempsey. "I'm shaking with nerves."
