At a glance: Here's the make-up of the new Donegal County Council

Following the local elections that took place over the weekend, Donegal has its 37 councillors to bring the county forward in the next five years

Ali Farren of the 100% Redress Party, topped the poll in their four-seat LEA with 2,253 preferences and was elected on the first count with the 2019 poll-topper Martin McDermott of Fianna Fáil, who took 2,069 first preferences, down from 2,501 in 2019. Sinn Féin’s Albert Doherty held his seat after being elected on the sixth count and Labour Party’s Martin Farren took the fourth seat.
