At a glance: Here's the make-up of the new Donegal County Council

Following the local elections that took place over the weekend, Donegal has its 37 councillors to bring the county forward in the next five years

Independents Micheál Choilm MacGiolla Easbuig and Michael McClafferty were the first to be elected to the next term of Donegal County Council from the Glenties LEA, as both had exceeded the 1,883 quota. Anthony Molloy of Fianna Fáil was elected on the eighth count, before John Shéamais Ó Fearraigh, Sinn Fein; Denis McGee from the 100% Redress Party and Brian Carr, Sinn Fein, were elected on the 10th and final count in the six-seater Glenties electoral area on Sunday night.
