Seamus in his Donegal tweed at the Oscars
Donegal Town clothing firm Magee 1866 enjoyed a piece of the Oscars action last night as they dressed actor Seamus O’Hara for the 95th Academy Awards, held last night in Los Angeles.
Seamus stars in An Irish Goodbye, the Northern-Irish black comedy that took home the Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.
Written and directed by Tom Berkeley and Ross White, Seamus plays Turlough, alongside James Martin (Lorcan), as two estranged brothers brought together by their mother’s death in this Floodlight Pictures film in association with First Flights and Northern Ireland Screen.
Seamus wore a three-piece Glencheck Donegal Tweed suit from the 5th generation Irish family brand, known for designing and weaving natural fibre fabrics and creating iconic clothing and accessories in Donegal for over 150 years.
This was beautifully complemented by a custom pocket square in silk from Irish designer Sara O’Neil’s brand Éadach.
Take a bow Magees!
