Gardaí have arrested a male as part of their ongoing investigation into an assault which took place on Sunday evening.
As a result of the assault, a male, in his 20s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
A man, in his 20s, was arrested today, Monday, April 24 and is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Investigations continue.
