Donegal County Council look to exploring opportunities in Asia

Donegal County Council has joined the Asia Matters network in a bid to widen its sphere of influence and possibly attract potential investors to the county.


Asia Matters is focused on building dynamic business links and informed understanding between Asia, the EU and Ireland to drive win-win partnerships and economic growteh. It has been described as Ireland’s only Asia think tank. Independent, Asia Matters operates on a non-political not for profit ethos as a member knowledge hub for Asia Business Partnership.


The news broke at Monday's Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District meeting in Lifford when acting head of tourism, Sarah Nolan said Donegal County Council had joined the network.


"The aim is to explore business and investment opportunities in the Asian market which we all know is quite lucrative at the moment," she said.
