A body was been recovered in Fanad late on Tuesday night, An Garda Siochana has confirmed.
Investigations are ongoing, with the file being prepared for the Coroner’s Court.
“Gardaí recovered a body of a man from a lake in Fanad late last night Tuesday 25th July, 2023 at approximately 11pm,” a Garda statement reads.
There had been searches in the area since Monday following the disappearance of a Galway man who was in the area. Greg King was last seen at midnight on Sunday night in the Traighaloch area and concerned friends and relatives had taken to social media to launch an appeal.
