Carol Doherty has every faith in her new business

Carol Doherty has started a new business in Letterkenny

A new beauty room called Faith has opened at the Atomic hairdressing salon in the Courtyard Shopping Centre, Letterkenny.
Carol Doherty opened her new business Faith on Wednesday last and is very much looking forward to a bright and prosperous future for her blossoming new business.
Born and raised in Buncrana, Carol loves to empower women and she encourages them to love themselves first and foremost in order to reach their full potential and enjoy full and positive lives.
The opening day saw Carol being very busy: “I am very happy with the initial feedback. I am delighted, to be honest. I think it is going to go really well.”
Carol has vast experience in the beauty industry and now that her children are raised she is delighted to be able to focus on what she loves, once again: “I missed it so much and it is where I feel I belong. I know it is what I am meant to do - to help people feel better about themselves and look better.”
Her love for the industry has seen Carol learn extensive skills in the beauty business and also allows her to have an exceptionally healthy and all-encompassing view of what her work requires.
Carol does all the usual beauty treatments which includes waxing, tinting, facials, nails, back massage and is also an expert in eyebrow re-shaping. Carol believes that eyebrows can change the entire face. She also specialises in SNS nails.
“They are very gentle on the nail and don’t harm the nail unlike many of the traditional acrylics and they are also great for those who bite their nails or for those who have weaker nails. They strengthen the nails,” she said.
Carol is a colour and image consultant and she can do a full make-over on people.
“I can tell you what length of trouser and shirt you should be wearing - whether your jackets should be short or long. I don’t do that as a service but I do give people free advice on it.
“My colour analysis shines through in my make-up skills because when I look at someone’s skin I know whether their pigmentation is cool or warm or a mixture or both.”
Such is her level of interest, Carol brings all factors together while doing your personal make-up she uses skin, hair and eye colour to help guide her towards making you look your personal best:
“My make-up is different to other people’s make-up and I do really love and enjoy what I do.”
Carol loves working alongside the busy staff at Atomic whom she says are very friendly and helpful: “I am really at home here and I am really relaxed about my business. The clients are saying that it is so handy that when they come in and get their blow-dry done they can get their makeup done at the same time.”
There is a special dimension to Carol’s beauty salon, she says it is for those who are individual and unique and she will help them look the way they want. She enjoys people of all different shapes and sizes coming to visit her salon and encourages them to come to her.
“I believe that my salon is for people who look unique and who can do with a wee bit of help to get them looking exactly as they want. There is no airs and graces about me - I myself have a few pounds on so I am not a bit concerned whether you don’t have the perfect beach body if you want to come in and get your waxing done,” she said.
Carol said she can see how she can benefit and make a difference to most people: “I want them to feel good about themselves and their bodies. I want people to believe in themselves. You can’t love anybody else until you love yourself.”
She urged people to believe in their higher source of happiness and spirituality which will help people become a complete and happier person.
Opening offers include a brow re-shape for €15, Saturday special blow dry and make-up for a mere €50 and you can get acrylic nails done which last four weeks, the manicure costs for €35. Opening hours Monday 10am to 6pm, closed Tuesday, Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 6pm. Please telephone Carol on 083 876 0002 or email caroldoherty1999 @gmail.com.
