Killybegs is all set for the arrival of the towering, 18-deck Norwegian Getaway.

The 326m cruise ship is visiting the port for the first time as part of a 16-day trip taking in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Lervice, Iceland and Ireland.

She is due in on Thursday morning at 9am.

According to Killybegs Community Council: “This coming Thursday we have the largest cruise ship to date coming to Killybegs, the 326 metre Norwegian Gateway. It is going to be a busy day in our town.”

Launched in 2014, the ship can carry 3,963 passengers and 1,645 crew. She will no doubt be a towering presence in the port town, while passengers take in the sights of south west Donegal.
